# Kriakala

> **Kriakala** (https://kriakala.com) is a Hebrew reading and phonics app for children ages 4–7, designed for Hebrew-as-a-second-language learners in diaspora schools and families. Free to download, no ads, no subscriptions.

Kriakala — also known as Kria Kala and קריאה קלה עם הילה (Easy Reading with Hila) — teaches pointed Hebrew through interactive games: Aleph Bet letters, Nikud vowels, syllables, words, and decodable storybooks. It was created by Hila, a Hebrew literacy educator since 2003, for classroom and home use when an adult listener is not available for every practice session.
